Management Team
The success of our group can be directly attributed to the high quality of leadership and the strength of our management team. Our goal is to ensure the continued success of our financial representatives by providing the proper guidance and support to help them experience both personal and professional growth.  Gary W Taylor, CLU®, ChFC®Managing Director Gary Taylor is a Charlottesville native and a graduate of the University of Virginia. He has been associated with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since 1985 and was named Managing Director of the Blue Ridge Financial Group in 1998. Professionally, Gary has achieved the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Accredited Estate Planner. In 2008, Gary completed the Leadership for Extraordinary Performance program offered by the Darden School and in 2009, has completed the Transformational Leadership program offered through MIT. Gary will complete the Program on Negotiation offered by the Harvard Law School in December of 2010. In 1997and again in 2003, Gary was awarded the National Community Service Award for his involvement with the Virginia Discovery Museum. Gary is currently serving as the National President of the Managing Director Association for Northwestern Mutual and has been a past speaker on topics of leadership, entrepreneurship and financial security. Locally, Gary has served as the Chairman of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is past president of the Central Virginia Estate Planning Council, the Central Virginia Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Virginia Discovery Museum, and the Leadership Charlottesville Alumni Association, which awarded him their Leader’s Leader Award in 1998. Gary is a past Chairman of the historic Paramount Theater and remains active on their board.
Gary lives in Albemarle County with his wife Tana and their three daughters Kari, Hilary and Morgan.  H Victor Millner III, CLU®, ChFC®Field Director
Victor Millner is originally from Chatham, VA. He attended the University of Virginia and has called Charlottesville home for the past 29 years. Victor joined the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in 1998 after 15 years in food and beverage management. He saw a career with NMFN as an opportunity to put himself in a position to have the lifestyle that he wanted and to spend time with his family. He got off to a fast start as a financial representative, hitting Pacesetter 40 in his first six months and being named Challenger of the Year in 2000. He became a Field Director in 2004 and was named Leading Field Director Under Three Years in 2006. He has continued to thrive and receive recognition for his professional accomplishments.
Victor is actively involved in the Charlottesville community, currently serving on the Board of the Blue Ridge Mountain Rotary and also as organizer of an annual Taste This! event, which focuses on fundraising for hunger in our area.
Victor lives in Albemarle County and enjoys spending time with his three children, Evan, Kate and Maggie.
 Christopher Bowen, MBAFinancial Representative Chris Bowen grew up in Waynesboro, Virginia. He attended Virginia Tech, where he studied management and earned his MBA, in preparation for an entrepreneurial career. After several years in the real estate industry, he decided to join Northwestern Mutual in 2009. Chris had been a Northwestern client for over 10 years when he recognized anopportunity to run his own business under the umbrella of a larger organization while also helping others. He achieved both Pacesetter 40 and Pacesetter Second 60 in his first yearwith the company. He also qualified for the Bronze Award, the Silver Award and the Gold Award during his first 3 years. In 2012 Chrisjoined our leadership team as a Field Director. Chris lives in Crozet with his wife Lisa and their sons Bobby and Joey, who are active with football and lacrosse.  Anna DavidsonDirector of Recruitment and Selection AJ Davidson is a Virginia native. Having grown up in Lexington and attended graduate school at the University of Virginia, she decided to make Charlottesville her permanent home about a year ago. She joined Northwestern Mutual as the Director of Recruitment and Selection in May 2010. AJ spent several years as a career counselor and saw an opportunity here to continue helping others find a fit and a balance between their personal and professional lives. She recruits full-time and intern candidates for our Charlottesville and Lynchburg offices. AJ enjoys staying active in the Charlottesville community through her involvement with the Junior League. She lives in Crozet with her husband Andrew and their yellow lab Vern.
